Position Overview:

Technical Product Manager (Agile Delivery) – Located in any UK or Ireland offices – Remote/flexible working is available 

My client an insurance company, is looking for Technical Product Manager with strong Agile delivery methodology experience. You can be based in various locations – Bristol, London, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Ireland.

Ideally you will come from an insurance background and come with 10-15 years experience with the delivery of projects within an Agile methodology background. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, be able to liaise and influence at exec level.

in addition it would be highly advantageous if you have experience with data (insurance) analytics.

  • As the Technical Product Manager (TPM) you will be part of a large global team 200+ colleagues, and you will be responsible for a portfolio of technology products within a business or functional unit
  • TPMs have accountability for the projects within their portfolio and oversight of the resources required to deliver on their portfolio commitments including squads, tribes and waterfall teams
  • You may have direct line management responsibility for IT business analysts and technical product SME’s
  • Other resources may be allocated from other functional and shared service teams, to create the squads, tribes and project delivery teams
  • You will be a part of a multi-year vision which includes a point-of-view on the future role of technology for that business or functional area, application disposition, build versus buy, sequence in which new functionality will be developed (macro level), modernisation approach, application retirement and portfolio ROI planning

Key skills:

  • Strong proven experience in managing the technology strategy of one or more products
  • Have a thorough and broad understanding of technology and how it can be used to solve business problems
  • Solid understanding of the business area to which your product portfolio relates including external market trends
  • Strong experience of working in a senior leadership position and in partnering with senior business leaders in order to define strategies and product roadmaps
  • Experienced in technology strategy and roadmap planning together with related budgeting
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business engagement skills
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation with the ability to present effectively to senior business leaders
  • Have a solid understanding of security, privacy and regulatory requirements
